TIPS & INFORMATION ABOUT THE ON-LINE REGISTRATION SITE

 

  • After registering, you may change your child’s information, team, flight info or room selection as many times as you like. However, as we get closer to the start of camp, we will lock the site out so our staff can make final preparations
  • In order to pick a room (overnight camps only) you must first pick a team. Picking "no preference" counts as picking a a team. 
  • After filling out the required on-line forms, the payment page will appear.   Important note, after making a payment you will get an immediate email confirmation.  However, the registration site will still show your enrollment as "pending".  This is normal.  It will update within 24 hours to update.  Maybe a little longer if you pay over the weekend.  

How to fill out or edit the online travel request form

 We offer free transportation to and from BWI airport and train station for all our overnight campers.   In order for us to pick him up you need to fill out the online travel request form.  To enter, update or change the flight/train info follow these steps:

STEP 1:  log onto the registration site using your username and password.  

STEP 2: Click on  "view" or "continue" next to your son's name

STEP 3: Click on "edit/view" next to the travel form page.  

STEP 4: Enter the travel information and click save.

How to pick a team

As part of the registration process you have the option of picking a team for your son.   The teams are all named after US Navy ships.   The teams are all the same.  You really can't pick a bad one.  The registration system will only show you the teams that are in your son's age group.  Additionally, the site will only allow certain number of each position on a team.  This ensures your son gets ample playing time.  


If you choose "no preference" for a team, the Navy coaches will place him on a team that needs him the most.  


To pick a team or edit his current choice follow these steps: 

 STEP 1:  log onto the registration site using your username and password.  

STEP 2: Click on  "view" or "continue" next to your son's name

STEP 3: Click on "edit/view" next to the team selection page.  

STEP 4: Confirm his division and position and click save

Step 5: Pick a team and click save

How to pick a room/ roommate

Anther part of the registration process allows you to pick a room.  You have a few options here:

Option 1: Pick "no preference" use this option if your son doesn't know anyone coming to camp.  Fun fact, traditionally 30% of our campers come to us not knowing anyone else in camp.  If you choose this option, once the camp closes the Navy coaches place him in an appropriate room  with his peers

Option 2: If you son has friends coming to camp, scan the list of campers who have already picked a room.  If you see his friend, and there is space in his room, click on the bubble next to his name and hit save.   If you don't see his friends name that means he may not have picked a room yet.  If you see his friend and his room is full, look at option 3.

Option 3: Pick a new empty room.   At the top of the page you'll see the option to open a new 2-person room,  3- person room or a new 4 person room.  Click on the bubble next to the type of room you want then scroll to the bottom of the page and click on save. Note, as we get closer to camp, some of these room selections won't be available as there is a finite number of each type of room.  Your son will now appear on the list of rooms so when his friends log on to pick a room they will see your son and can pick his room.  Once you pick a room, it's a good idea to send an email to his friends parents with your room number so they can easily find your son.  


CRITICAL NOTE:  Due to Federal Privacy concerns, the staff at Navy cannot comment or, by action, divulge information in any way about a child other than your own. This includes moving a child in and out of a room. What does this mean? If you call us or shoot us an email asking for "Billy" to be moved into "Johnny's" room we wont be able to do it.  The only way to get a roommate of your choice is to use the online system.  This does two important things 1) helps us protect the privacy of the minors enrolled into our camp and 2) ensures that all room selections are consented to by all responsible parents/ guardians.
