Directions to HALSEY FIELD HOUSE

Welcome to the Naval Academy! We are exited to host your team for this event. Please take the time to read the important information included in this email. Don't forget to complete the COVID screener on the day of the event.

Field House Address

52 King George St, Annapolis, MD 21402

DIRECTIONS / INSTRUCTIONS

For those of you who are first timers at Navy's Halsey Field House, the best way to get to the facility is through the Armel Leftwich visitor entrance. The visitor's entrance is through the John Barry Gate (Gate 1) at the bottom of Prince George Street, down at the Harbormaster end of downtown See picture below). You walk through the Barry Gate and that brings you to the Security Office where you proceed through a security & COVID checkpoint, out the other door and then immediately to your right are doors to enter Halsey Field House and the indoor field. CRITICAL NOTES:

  • All minors need to be accompanied by an adult (at least 21 years of age).
  • Everyone over the age of 16 must show a valid government issued ID to the gate guards.
  • EVERYONE MUST WEAR A MASK OR THE GATE GUARDS WILL NOT LET YOU THROUGH.

There is no parking on the Academy grounds unless you have a military ID (CAC), or a handicap placard. There is ample parking on the street outside gate 1 or downtown.  Please be aware the Academy is on heightened alert and security, so there may be extra time needed to go through the security checkpoint. Make sure you have proper ID as you enter the Yard even as a walker.
Everyone over the age of 16 must show a valid government issued ID. An adult (at least 21 years of age) must escort all minors without an ID through the checkpoint.
